Peugeot 3008: catches up from 26,900 euros

He Peugeot 3008 it has established itself in our market as a balanced, comfortable and very attractive vehicle. I know presented at the end of 2016 and its success was immediate, starting with the award for Best Car of the Year in Europe, awarded within the framework of the Geneva Motor Show in 2017. This award, granted by specialized journalists in the sector, recognized the work of the firm and its daring with a completely new, different and complete model. Three years later, it’s time to update details that can leave you outdated in an ever-changing industry. Evolution can be seen in its new front and more driver assistance systems, some of them novel like night vision. The purchasing arguments remain the same, with the plus of having a wide variety of drives to choose from thanks to the plug-in hybrid variants. Its starting price of 26,900 euros, brings it closer to the premium market and, as such, meets the quality, ride comfort and digitization requirements expected of it.

The Peugeot 3008 competes in one of the most fought segments today. Some of its rivals are: Seat Ateca, Mazda CX-30, Volkswagen Tiguan, Hyundai Tucson or Citroen C5 Aircross, among others. The C-SUVs were the first and as such earned their reputation among Spanish buyers. That is why it is not surprising that the 3008 is the firm’s best-selling model, with a total of 800,000 units registered. A leadership that they intend to maintain, and even improve, with the introduction of variants PHEV, of which they expect 20% of their sales quota.

During its national presentation, the lion’s signature took the opportunity to also show us the new Peugeot 5008. This older brother adopts the tweaks of the 3008 in a body of up to 7 seats. This great SUV competes with alternatives such as the Seat Tarraco or the Hyundai Santa Fe, cars of considerable size that meet the needs of large families. For them it is vital to have the 780 liters of luggage space, expandable to 1,940 with the seats folded down. Today, however, we will focus on the middle of the family.
