NASA shows the best images of the Earth of 2020 | Digital Trends Spanish

In tune with the end of the year, NASA published a video with 20 incredible photographs of the Earth taken from space.

The video shows images captured from the International Space Station and from some of the several Dragon capsules sent into space by SpaceX this year.

The images show several of the natural and sinister phenomena, mainly fires, that hit our planet throughout 2020.

For example, part of the fires that consumed Tsavo West National Park, the largest nature reserve in Kenya, or the recent sandstorm that caused destruction in the city of Santa Rosa in Argentina.

Other images simply remind us of the splendor of our planet. We especially highlight a sunset over Australia that appears at 1:30.

There is also space for urban postcards. At minute 1:39 we see a spectacular aerial shot of Paris, which shows us why it is known as the City of Lights.

In addition to the video, NASA also released its traditional 2020 Highlight Photo Albums.

The general photo album shows several of the most famous moments of NASA this 2020, among them the historic launches of SpaceX.

And it is that 2020 will be remembered as the year in which, for the first time, a private company completed a mission for NASA.

The feat was completed on Sunday, August 2, when astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley returned to Earth aboard a dragon capsule of SpaceX, Elon Musk’s aerospace company whose reason for existence is the colonization of Mars.
