The trends define it: brands move to alternative technologies, grow by leaps and bounds and it is almost obligatory to have an exponent of this nature. First it was the EQC, now the EQA, which comes to be placed at a competitive price to increase the followers of the German firm, in addition to becoming the entry model to the world of electrics of the Mercedes Benz EQ family.

Undeniable its similarity to the GLA, with the obvious differences that the settings of an electric car deserve, also similar to the older brother EQC, which appears to be carrying the new Mercedes design lines. “Grill”, wheels, some colors, led lights from side to side to the front and back, badges that indicate the absence of a combustion engine.

The range offered by an electric car is something of the utmost importance, the EQA 250 offers almost 301 miles, then it will include an extended-range version, all-wheel drive, almost 270 horsepower and more than 310 miles of purely electric range.

This new system is interesting, Mercedes calls it Electrical Intelligence, which takes your journey into account and you can export it from your cell phone through an application; With this, the car will know your route considering the fastest way to the destination, the loading points, ups and downs of the road to make the necessary adjustments in your EQA. Topography, weather, traffic conditions and driving habits also come into consideration.

The interior is practically the one seen in the GLA, although the new screen of more than 50 inches that was presented at CES 2021 a few days ago is not yet offered; it will come later. Either way, it does have similar characteristics to the GLA, with two 10.25-inch screens, controls, steering wheel and air conditioning system vents, the same as the combustion models.

As standard, it has the MBUX system, with voice prompts starting with the command “Hey Mercedes”, to continue giving some instructions to the vehicle.
The cluster of instruments and the central display offer infinite graphs (watt meter, charging stations, current flow, electrical consumption, among others) that are adjustable according to user preferences. It also has the ambient lighting system with 64 colors.
