The streaming service HBO Max It will be available by the end of June 2021 in 39 territories in Latin America and the Caribbean, as confirmed by WarnerMedia’s own company.

In this way, the HBO Max transmission platform will fully compete with services such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney Plus and Paramount +, which will debut in March 2021.

According to the company, fans will be able to enjoy original content from HBO, DC Comics and Warner Bros, and an extensive catalog for children.

“By combining HBO with the best of WarnerMedia’s catalog of movies and series, as well as locally produced content by master storytellers from Latin America, HBO Max will offer fans in the region an unforgettable and enriching entertainment experience,” said Johannes Larcher , director of HBO Max International.

This is the first time that the platform has been available outside the United States, although it is expected to continue its expansion by the end of 2021. “This is the first step in bringing WarnerMedia’s direct-to-consumer service to consumers outside the United States and around the world,” added Larcher.

Following the arrival of HBO Max in Latin America and the Caribbean, HBO brand streaming services in Europe (Nordic countries, Spain, Central Europe and Portugal) are scheduled for the end of 2021.

According to the company, current users of the HBO GO service – which will be phased out – as well as those who have contracts with other WarnerMedia partners, will get instant access to HBO Max.
