Huawei Mate X2 will arrive with a change in its folding screen | Digital Trends Spanish
On February 22 we will know all the details of the Mate X2, the new smartphone with a folding screen from Huawei. As part of the advertising campaign for its premiere, Huawei showed a new teaser in which it suggests that the screen of the Mate X2 will fold horizontally, similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold.
The presentation of the Huawei Mate X2 will take place within the framework of the Mobile World Congress Shanghai, in an online event that will take place on February 22 at 7 a.m. Eastern time.
For now, and unlike other high-end releases, little is known about the characteristics of the Mate X2. However, considering that Huawei continues with sanctions imposed by the United States Government, it is most likely that it integrates the Kirin 9000 processor, the same one used by the Mate 40 Pro.
The same sanction would mean that Huawei will not be able to integrate Android into the Mate X2, so the operating system will be Harmony OS, which uses models such as the Huawei P40, the Mate 30 and the Mate 40.
However, since the Mate X2 will be in a strict sense the successor to the Xs, it is almost a fact that the cell phone will be compatible with 5G networks and that it will have a multi-camera system with at least four lenses, each one with different functions such as wide angle or telephoto.
The price, however, would remain at the highest even in the segment of high-end smartphones with a price that would oscillate in the $ 2,000 dollars.
