Roku announced on May 13 the launch of its original programming, which will initially be available to viewers in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
This launch will be carried out through the streaming free from the multimedia platform, The Roku Channel, starting May 20.
Initially 30 titles will be included, among which are those that Roku acquired from the service of streaming short-form Quibi in early 2021.
Among the best known Quibi programs that will be part of Roku are Chrissy’s Court (Chrissy Teigen), Reno 911! (Comedy Central), the action series Die hart (Kevin Hart), FreeRayshawn, Emmy winner, documentaries Blackballed Y Big rad wolf , and the reboot of the reality show Punk’d.
This is the content that will become Roku’s first original material, adding to the platform’s more than 40,000 free movies and TV shows.
