This is the special Galaxy S21 of the Olympics | Digital Trends Spanish
The Tokyo Olympics will have a custom phone. Samsung launched a special edition of the Samsung Galaxy S21 5G to commemorate such a great event that should have taken place last year, but the pandemic said otherwise.
As is almost always the case with these special editions, it is actually the same Galaxy S21 as always, but with a different color: the body of the phone is purple, while the finishes are gold.
Perhaps the mixture between purple and gold does not seem the most logical on paper, but the truth is that in the photos the team does not look bad at all. In addition, the back is engraved with the Olympic rings in white and perhaps the only thing that seems somewhat out of place is the word Docomo, which is the name of the operator that offers the phone in Japan.
And when it comes to software, this phone comes with a competing-themed wallpaper, icons, and even lock screen. If that wasn’t enough, a special animation is also included that will be seen when turning the phone on and off.
Now let’s talk about specs: This phone is the standard version of the Galaxy S21 that is already on sale almost everywhere in the world and it comes with Exynos 2100 processor, 8GB of RAM, Android 11, 6.2-inch AMOLED screen and a composite camera of three lenses and up to 64 MP, depending on the mode to be used. And just as the name implies, it is also 5G compatible.
It is not yet known if this phone is going to leave Japan, but those interested in buying it as soon as it is on sale can reserve it from now on the Docomo website.
