“Everyone is Awesome”: LEGO launches its first LGTBQ set | Digital Trends Spanish

The Lego toy company has just launched Everyone is Awesome, its first set of LGBTQ + figurines. The game is inspired by the rainbow flag and contains 11 figures, each with its own hairstyle and color.

The 10.24-centimeter-tall, 346-piece model will go on sale June 1 as a way to celebrate the start of LGBTQ + Pride Month.

“Everyone is unique, and with a little more love, acceptance and understanding in the world, we can all feel more free to be our true and impressive selves. This model shows that we care and that we really believe that ‘everyone is amazing,’ ”said Matthew Ashton, Lego vice president of design.

It is worth mentioning that Ashton was the professional in charge of the new set, in fact it came to him almost by chance, when he decorated the office with this same theme.

“I moved offices, so I wanted to make the space feel like home with something that reflected myself and the LGBTQ community that I am so proud to be a part of,” Ashton said in a statement.

“Other members of the LEGO LGBTQ community came to tell me they loved it.”

The launch of the new set has also been well received by the public, especially on social media.

The Everyone is Awesome set will go on sale starting June 1 on the toy company’s website at a price of $ 34.99.
